Description

Stately and ivy-covered, Hayes Hall is the University at Buffalo’s oldest building (erected 1874). A former almshouse, it was one of the original buildings on the South Campus when UB acquired the Main Street property in 1909. The bell tower, added in 1927, continues to serve as an iconic landmark for the campus and surrounding community. Hayes Hall was comprehensively restored and reopened in 2016.
